Bug Reports

You can report here any problems and bugs you might encounter in Mythoria to ensure that they're fixed sooner rather than later.

I purchased Mythoria yesterday, but I had to use the link on the game's website to do it, because the game's "Buy Now" function didn't work! :( Is it supposed to open Plimus' website in your default web browser?

You are correct, it is indeed supposed to open a new web browser. This bug will be fixed within the next patch.

Thanks for the bug report!

Dragon Ability - Firebreath 3 bug

Postby Bloodshot » Thu Feb 11, 2010 4:30 pm

Greetings all, thoroughly enjoying the game. Kudos to the development team!

Unfortunately I've found a bug that crashes the game to desktop with an error log.

The bug can be repeated and is not random, when choosing to play the Dragon Challenge in Story mode.

As soon as the Dragon tries to cast it's Firebreath 3 ability the game crashes to desktop with an error log that starts with the following lines of text:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
: Stack trace: at Mythoria.Schemas.Abilities.Firebreath.Activate() at Mythoria.Schemas.Abilities.BaseAbility.Ability_CastingPhaseBeginEvent(currentPlayer)

I am currently playing Mythoria version 1.1 on Windows 7 64 bit.

I hope I've given enough information to trap the bug, but let me know if there's anything else you need to know. Good luck!

Hope you have as much fun as we had making the game. :)

When I cast Zap, it counts as an entire turn, and play passes to my opponent. My understanding from both the way the AI uses it and from its description is that Zap is in effect "free," meaning that you can cast again after using it once--but that's not currently the case.

As far as I know, Zap ends your turn only when there is absolutely nothing else you could do that turn. Are you sure you didn't expend all your mana while zapping? If you were left with 1 mana afer zapping, the turn still changes if you've got nothing you could do with it. On the other hand, if you've got a Skeleton on the board, the turn shouldn't change despite your lack of mana, because using its ability doesn't cost any mana to use.

I'm relatively certain I had four mana before casting Zap, with four open circles on the playing board, and a number of one- and two-mana creatures in my available. I will check again, and get back with you.

I'm not seeing the problem again, so I suspect I simply ignored the mana amount available the first time, and used up everything on that Zap. If it does occur again, however, I'll pass that along.

I wasn't able to reproduce the bug either, but there's always the possibility that it only occurs with some rarer card combination, making it difficult to reproduce. Nevertheless, we shall keep an eye on Zap for any misbehaviour.
